Functionality
The Beauchamp API is written using the industry-standard Microsoft .NET framework. This allows development in client applications in languages compatible with the .net framework, such as C# and VB.NET.
Our API is delivered as a .NET Dynamic Link Library (.dll file), along with documentation, sample code and sample applications.
The Beauchamp API provides consistency and clarity, with intuitive naming conventions and comprehensive documentation. Documentation consists of an overview of the Beauchamp API and how to utilise it, and a detailed Windows help file (.chm), consisting of the classes, properties and methods representing the business objects available to the developer. The help file also contains sample code snippets which can be cut and pasted into client application code. The sample code is available in C#, Visual Basic and Managed C++.
Sample applications consist of various business functions of the Beauchamp API could be used for, such as a bespoke trade blotter, and positions and P&L extracts.
COM functionality is delivered with the API allowing direct integration with Microsoft Excel. All classes and methods are accessible through COM.
